Rumor: Mario and Sonic… In Mario Galaxy 2?

A twitter post (I refuse to call it a “tweet”) from UK publication NGamer is claiming an inside source at Nintendo has confirmed that Sonic will be in Mario Galaxy 2. Not only that, but he will be a playable character as well!
From NGamer’s twitter page:
“We’ve just had some shocking news from an inside source at Nintendo: Sonic will be a playable character in Mario Galaxy 2! Wha?”
A couple of hours later, another post went up:
“More teasing from our insider: Sonic levels will be in ‘Green Hill Galaxy’. Matthew’s nearly in tears (of despair)”
So, are you guys buying this rumor? Do you think we’ll be hearing wails of “you’re too slow!” as we hop from planet to planet?

High Voltage Software, the developers behind The Conduit and the recently announced Tournament of Legends, talked with IGN’s Matt Casamassina about their other project, The Grinder.
In the interview with HVS’ President Kerry Ganofsky and CCO Eric Nofsinger, we learned that the Left 4 Dead-esque co-op shooter will be making the jump to the 360, PS3 and PC on Halloween next year. A bit of a loss considering this was shaping up to be a banner year for Wii exclusives.
Aside from creating higher resolution art, the two kept mum on any differences in the other versions. They said to wait until GDC this March.

Namco Bandai’s WiiWare game Muscle March came out a few weeks ago, but to get the word out, the company sent out some rather stylish promo materials to the press (le sigh…).
Destructoid’s Nick Chester received a Muscle March-branded Wii skin and a tub of fake protein powder. The real gem, however, is the glorious blue banana hammock they included.
As repulsive a sight it would be for me to hammock up, I still want this nugget pouch cradle. I wonder if Namco Bandai would mind sending one over to our lowly blog.
