Miyamoto To Make A New Character?

July 01st, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

While talking about Pikmin 3 at an investor’s meeting, Shigeru Miyamoto fielded a question about creating new games. He replied by saying that he wants to finish working on Pikmin before shifting his focus onto other efforts. However, he did add that he could probably do make something new.

“I think next year I can probably deliver something new,” said Miyamoto. I think this is the year I can make a new character.”

Link originated from Miyamoto’s adventures as a child, Pikmin came from his interest in gardening and Nintendogs was inspired by his own dog. I think it’s time to start monitoring Miyamoto’s interests to find out what this new character will be like.

Pokémon Anime Continues As “Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes”

July 01st, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

A few months back, we reported that the current Diamond and Pearl arc in the Pokémon anime would be ending in Japan to make way for a new season based in the Black and White games’ Isshu region.

Following a trailer for the upcoming movie, it was revealed that the new season of the anime would be called “Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes!”

An image leaked onto the internet a couple of days ago gives us a peek at the new girl that will be tagging along with Ash and company. From the leak, it is assumed that the girl’s name is Iris.

If you take a look at the leaked image, you can see a couple of new pokémon, along with the evolved forms of Mijumaru and Tsutarja. Both of them actually look pretty awesome.

Club Nintendo Elite Rewards Announced

July 01st, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

Club Nintendo members who have reached Elite Status can now redeem their rewards.

Unlike last year, there will be only one reward for Platinum members. However, it’s a pretty snazzy one, if I do say so myself.

Platinum members can use their status to redeem a figurine featuring the main Mario cast (and a Goomba!). While Gold members can choose to receive a 2011 Club Nintendo calendar.

Gold and Platinum members can claim their rewards by logging into the Club Nintendo website and clicking on the “Redeem Elite Status Reward” link in the to-do section. Be warned, though. The site is a little backed up and is having trouble determining your status, so it’s best if you waited a bit before trying to get your stuff.

Members have until July 31, 2010 to accept their reward. The rewards are expected to ship out before the end of December, making for a neat Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate) present.
