Final Fantasy Creator Thinking About Calling It Quits?

While updating his blog on the Mistwalker site, CEO and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi suggested that he may be done creating video games. The game designer said that he is putting everything he’s got into the company’s upcoming Wii RPG The Last Story and wants to do it without having any regrets.

“This is a title that myself and the development staff are putting 120% of our energy into.” He admitted to being nervous, similar to the insecurity one has when their child heads off on a journey.

“I’m fully pouring everything into this one title, and the feeling of it maybe being my last title is strong.”

Hotel Dusk Sequel Getting Localization

The follow-up to the underrated Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and developer Cing’s last game before filing for bankruptcy will get a shot at a western release, and by “western,” we mean Europe. Last Window: The Secret of Cape West was announced for a September 17 launch in European territories.

Currently, no announcement has been made regarding a North American release. Judging from the localization of Another Code:R we never got in the U.S., a release in the States is far from a sure thing.

Professor Layton and The Unwound Future’s Release Date Time-Travels One Week Earlier

It appears that the Professor’s travels through time have brought about an unexpected occurrence. The third game in the Professor Layton series, Professor Layton and The Unwound Future, will arrive in North America a week ahead of its originally intended September 20 release date on September 12.

The Unwound Future follows the exploits of Professor Layton and his young apprentice Luke after they receive a message sent from Luke 10 years in the future. The good professor must test his mental skills against more than 165 puzzles in an adventure that tears down the boundaries between time and space.
