Pokémon R/S/E Demakes

Gaming, chiptune and more site Albotas found an old Pokémon Gold ROM hack that attempted to demake Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald in the style of the GB/GBC classic.

Melash Games, the one-man hacker group working on the ROM hack, decided to stop working on hacks, so the project is officially dead. However, screens and other content will still be available on his site.

In other demake news, the people of 4chan’s /tr/ found an impressive mock promotional poster featuring character and pokémon art in the style of Pokémon Red and Blue

Super Street Fighter IV 3DS Screens From Comic-Con

During one of the many Capcom panels at Comic-Con, the company gave eager fighting game fans some pictures of the forthcoming 3DS port of Super Street Fighter IV.

It definitely wasn’t a big showstopper like Street Fighter vs. Tekken, but remembering that these screens are from a portable, it certainly is worth oohing and ahhing over.

Remind me, how is it that the Wii isn’t getting a port of SSFIV?

Victini: Pokémon #000

Pokémon Sunday revealed the newest pokémon coming to Black and White last Sunday. Victini will join Reshiram and Zekrom as the newest legendary for the Isshu region.

Breaking normal conventions, Victini will be the first pokémon to be classified with the number 000 in the pokédex.

Nintendo plans to make Victini an event-only pokémon, only available through the use of the Wi-Fi obtainable “Victory Ticket” item. The item will be distributed starting September 18 (the games’ launch) and will continue on to October 18.
