A little late to the party on posting these trailers, but Comic-Con jumbled up my schedule this weekend (I’m still trying to correct my sleep schedule).

Anywho, Atlus put out a couple of new trailers introducing players to Etrian Odyssey III‘s character creation mode and new naval exploration sections (not to be confused with “navel” exploration, which is… disturbing, to say the least).

Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City is set to sail on September 21, 2010. Remember, pre-ordering at a participating retailer will get you a limited edition, 60-page art book featuring art (duh) from the entire series.

The names CrossPass, CrossPass Mode, CrossPass Network, and CrossPass Connection were all submitted for trademarks in Japan, but nothing definite has been given regarding exactly what they are related to. It is currently assumed that they have something to do with the 3DS’  vastly improved  Tag Mode.

As we’ve explained before, the mode will will allow for multiple 3DSes to communicate and exchange data with each other, in a similar manner to the current DS’ Tag Mode, only without the cumbersome requirement of having both owners have the same game in the system at the same time.

Also registered, were 3D Paddleball, 3D Challenge, and 3D Hopper. Again, no descriptions were given as to what these trademarks relate to. They are believed to have something to do with software or tech demos.

Starting July 31 and continuing until August 27, Nintendo will be distributing the Enigma Stone item in HeartGold and SoulSilver across Europe, Australia and the Americas over Wi-Fi.

When taken to the Pewter Museum, the item will be identified as the Soul Dew, a special item that will trigger a battle with Latios in HeartGold and Latias in SoulSilver.
