Luigi Can Still Win By Doing Nothing in Mario Party: Island Tour

November 30th, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

Back in 2009, it was discovered that the CPU in Mario Party 2, when set to Easy, is so inept that a person could win by doing absolutely nothing.

The original video spawned several others, showing the brain-dead AI at work in other Mario Party games. The trend even continues in Mario Party: Island Tour which came out for the 3DS earlier this month.

Puyo Puyo Tetris Versus Footage

November 29th, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

Versus matches in Puyo Puyo Tetris are fast. Scary fast.

In the latest trailer, you can see how junk blocks translate between games, and it seems like the amount sent for tetrises and chains is really high.

If this footage is anything to go by, a decent combo early on can end a match in seconds.

Puyo Puyo Tetris comes out in Japan on February 6 for the Wii U, 3DS, PS3 and PS Vita.

Rune Factory Developer Files for Bankruptcy

November 29th, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

Rune Factory 4 01

Despite Rune Factory 4 being the best-selling entry in the series, it couldn’t save its developer Neverland from filing for bankruptcy.

The company announced on their website that due to a changing business environment and unsuccessful attempts to raise more funds, they would be ceasing operations.

It’s uncertain as to what exactly this will mean for Rune Factory 5 and the future of the series, but we hope that the people at Neverland will find a way to continue making games.

3DS YouTube App is Out Now

November 29th, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

YouTube 3DS

As promised earlier this month, YouTube is finally available on the 3DS. You can download the free app from the eShop.

Once you sign in, you’ll have access to your watch history, subscriptions and all of your playlists. It’s actually very similar to the version found on smartphones.

You can watch videos on the top screen while liking or browsing for other videos on the bottom screen.

While it’s neat being able to access YouTube on the 3DS, the video and audio quality isn’t great even with a good connection and the HQ option on, but I guess if you really need your fix of TV show clips, 10 hour loops or hip-hop/anime mashups and have no other device, it’ll suffice.

eShop Thursday: “Happy Thanksgiving” Edition

November 28th, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

Final Fight Turkey

Final Fight has nothing to do with any of the games coming out today, but it does have barrel turkeys.

It’s Thanksgiving in the U.S. and we’re thankful for SEGA finally bringing over the 3D ports of Space Harrier and Super Hang-On.

Stay safe and enjoy stuffing your fat face, fatty.

Nintendo Readies 3DS Miiverse Launch With New Update

November 27th, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

Miiverse Logo

Miiverse is coming to the 3DS this December, and in preparation for that, Nintendo has updated the Wii U and web versions of the service.

Users will now be able to view more communities at a time and they will be sorted by newest to oldest. There will now be filter options to show communities based on certain categories, like “Wii U software” and “Virtual Console.”

Profile pages will no longer show the total number of Yeahs you have given to posts, but they can still be seen on individual posts.

The newest posts in communities will no longer show up first. Instead, posts from people who have actually played the game will be displayed.

Wii U YouTube App Update Now Available

November 27th, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

The Wii U YouTube app is horribly designed, slow and incredibly clunky, but now you can use it while watching TV! A new update for the app finally allows you to watch videos on the GamePad.

Previously, the only way to do so was by replacing the “watch?v=” part of a video’s address with “embed/” in the Wii U web browser.

November 26th, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

When Sonic CD launched for the SEGA CD in 1993, it had two different soundtracks – one for Japan and PAL territories and another for North America.

OverClocked ReMix is paying tribute to that with their latest album Sonic CD: Temporal Duality, a 38-track collaboration that covers songs from both versions of Sonic CD‘s soundtrack.

You can download the full album (Lossless FLAC + MP3 + Art + Trailer) for free from OC ReMiX.
