New Persona Q Trailers Star Elizabeth and Margaret

May 31st, 2014 | Category: Uncategorized

Atlus released two new trailers for Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth featuring the Velvet Room assistants Elizabeth and her sister Margaret.

The end of Elizabeth’s trailer is interesting in that it shows her summoning a persona in what appears to be a battle. It’s possible that she will return as an optional (super hard) boss battle like in Persona 3, but we can’t rule out the possibility of her being a party member.

Persona Q comes out on June 5 in Japan, with a fall release slated for North America.

Story of Seasons Box

In a quick turnaround after its announcement, XSEED’s Harvest Moon Story of Seasons is now available for pre-order at GameStop and Amazon.

Additionally, the game’s English box art is also up. Personally, the logo leaves a bit to be desired, but it does what it needs to do.

Stylus Control Added in Pikmin 3 Update

May 30th, 2014 | Category: Uncategorized

Pikmin 3 01

The next time you pop in Pikmin 3 (assuming you have standby updates enabled on your Wii U), you’ll be able to play using the Wii U GamePad’s stylus.

A new, recently added control scheme allows players to fling pikmin, swap between characters and manage their items with the controller’s touchscreen.

The game defaults to this setup the first time it’s booted up after the version 2.0.0 update. If it’s not to your liking, you can easily switch back to the old GamePad or Wii Remote controls in the game’s plus button menu.

A quick reminder, Pikmin 3 is one of the free game downloads you can receive if you register Mario Kart 8 with Club Nintendo.

eShop Thursday: “Goodnight, Sweet Prince” Edition

May 29th, 2014 | Category: Uncategorized

It’s the conclusion to Mega May, so you won’t have to see the Mega Man animated series intro anymore.

… At least, not until then next Mega Man game comes out, and judging by Capcom’s treatment of the series in the past decade, that probably won’t be for a while.

Mario Kart 8 Gets Free Mercedes DLC in Japan

May 29th, 2014 | Category: Uncategorized

Mario Kart 8 Mercedes GLA DLC

A miniature version of the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class compact SUV will be coming to Mario Kart 8 this summer in Japan as free DLC.

It’s part of a cross-promotional campaign for both companies. Mercedes recently released a TV ad for the GLA featuring a creepy-looking realistic Mario.

As for whether the GLA kart will be released outside of Japan, that’s up in the air. A representative for Nintendo UK told Eurogamer the following:

“The announcement this time was made by Mercedes-Benz Japan regarding their collaboration in Japan with NCL.

As for the information relating to the distribution of the GLA kart for MK8 outside Japan, we will be able to announce in the near future.”

Wii U Adapter Lets You Connect GameCube Controllers

May 29th, 2014 | Category: Uncategorized

Wii U GameCube Controller Adapter

You can forget about PDP’s GameCube-inspired controller for your Super Smash Bros. needs. Nintendo recently unveiled an official controller adapter that will let you use your old GameCube controllers with the Wii U.

A price and release date for the peripheral haven’t been announced, but since it’s pretty much being promoted with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, I’d wager that it’ll probably be out around the same time as the game’s launch.

Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land is Coming to the States as Story of Seasons

May 28th, 2014 | Category: Uncategorized

Story of Seasons

Bokujo Monogatari: Connect to a New Land (better know by its translated title: Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land)is coming to North America, care of XSEED Games.

However, it won’t be released as a Harvest Moon game. Due to the fact that long-time series publisher Natsume owns the Harvest Moon name, the 3DS farm sim will launch this winter as Story of Seasons.

Despite the name change, the game’s content will remain unchanged from its Japanese release. Even the previously-announced Mario items will make it stateside.

Like the previous game in the now-separate series, Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, players will have access to a wide variety of customization options, including their appearance, their clothing and even the layout of their farm.

If you’re going to E3 this year, Story of Seasons will be at XSEED Games booth (#5436) in the West Hall.
