Squids Odyssey Is A Cross-Buy Title in Europe

June 30th, 2014 | Category: Uncategorized

Squids Odyssey

The Game Bakers’ eShop RPG Squids Odyssey is making waves for being the first Wii U and 3DS “cross-buy” title, meaning buying one copy of the game will allow you to play it on both systems.

“Unfortunately, it’s only 3DS -> WiiU for the moment, even though I know they would like to see this work the other way round (and we’d like it too!),” a representative for The Game Bakers told Siliconera.

The idea for the deal actually came from Nintendo’s European branch. The developers approached Nintendo of America to do something similar, but it was something the company said they couldn’t support. So, sadly, the promotion is limited to Europe only.
