Skirmish Wars: Advance Tactics is a fan-made tabletop board game based on Nintendo’s Advance Wars series. All of the materials needed to play the game can be printed out here. The site’s been hit hard by an influx of curious COs, so the download links may be down.

SW:AT plays out much like its handheld inspiration. Taking a page out of the original GBA Advance Wars’ Versus mode, two to four players can go head-to-head(-to-head-to-head) and try to take out their opponents forces or capture their HQ. Money, terrain benefits, city capturing and even CO powers are all here and well implemented to match the GBA experience.

This version of the game will quite a bit of preparation and rule learining, but it certainly looks like a fun game to try out if you’re a fan of board games or Advance Wars.
