Like the coming together of peanut butter and chocolate, Atlus and Nintendo are bringing the Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem franchises together to make one delicious peanut butter cup of a crossover for the Wii U.
The straightforwardly-titled Shin Megami Tensei meets Fire Emblem exemplifies a new approach Nintendo is taking with game development on the Wii U.
“This collaboration with Atlus is an example of one of our new approaches. We are working with many more partners on additional collaborations as well,” said Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata. “I will discuss those projects in future Nintendo Directs or at other opportunities. Please look forward to hearing about them.”
A release date hasn’t been set for the game, but it is confirmed to be in development.
