Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, the third entry in Nintendo and Namco Bandai’s arcade-only racer, will be demoed at the Japan Amusement Expo next week.
This version will have 10 redesigned courses and glider segments like in Mario Kart 7. The standard Grand Prix single-player and Vs. race mode return, but now there are also Co-Op race and “Clone” Battle modes.
In Co-Op, players team up to race against to computer for points. According to Arcade Heroes, racers can combine karts (similar to Crash Tag Team Racing), with one person driving and the other managing items. “Clone” Battle mode apparently has players competing against a ghost of another player.
The game is set to hit Japanese arcades this summer.
