Yooka-Laylee Funds All of Its Stretch Goals, Adds More for “DK Rap” and Developer Commentary

Category: Uncategorized

The Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter blew past the $1.5 million mark last night, meaning all of the stretch goals have been funded and we will see the game launch simultaneously for the Wii U, PS4, Xbox One and Windows/Mac/Linux.

To incentivize people to keep pledging, the folks at Playtonic Games have added two new stretch goals. The first, which has already been funded, will add an optional N64-style shader to the game and get composer Grant Kirkhope to record a new “DK Rap” for Yooka-Laylee‘s end credits.

If they can raise $1.8 million, the developers will make their own video walkthrough complete with commentary.

Pledges are still rolling in at a steady pace. To meet backer demand, Playtonic have reopened some of the previously sold out backer tiers.
