WiiRelax: The First Vitality Sensor Game?

Category: Uncategorized

Wii Vitality Sensor

Nintendo unveiled the Wii Vitality Sensor at the last e3 to a puzzled audience. We were shown a new peripheral, yet we weren’t given any context to how the device could work in the gaming realm. There was no trailer featuring people mimicking various actions like when the Wii remote first made its appearance. We had nothing but Nintendo President Satoru Iwata’s words, saying that they were looking into the idea of having a game focused on having the player relax.

It seems that game may be underway as a listing for “WiiRelax” has appeared on Europe’s trademark database. Worth noting is the fact that before this listing appeared, a product called “Wii Relax” was announced by Italian video developer Pub Company, but nothing ever came from it. It is possible that Nintendo may have intervened in some way.
