Pokkén Tournament DX Announced for Switch

Category: Uncategorized

During today’s Pokémon Direct, The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara announced Pokkén Tournament DX for the Switch.

As the “DX” in the title suggests, the game will be an updated port. However, it will not only contain all of the modes, updates and characters from the Wii U and Arcade releases, it will also feature new modes, like three-on-three Team Battles and friends-only online matches.

In addition to that, the starters from Pokémon Sun and Moon will make their Pokkén debut. Decidueye will be a playable fighter, while Litten and Popplio will be support characters. Also, unlike the Wii U version, characters will not have to be unlocked; everyone will be available from the start.

Pokkén Tournament DX will launch worldwide on September 22.
