Metroid Prime 4 In Development for the Switch

Category: Uncategorized

One of the biggest surprises to come out of Nintendo’s first day at E3 2017 was the announcement of a new Metroid Prime game in development for the Switch.

The tentatively-titled Metroid Prime 4 is not being developed by the former Prime series developers at Retro Studios. Instead, it is being worked on by a “new development team” led by Kensuke Tanabe, who served as a producer for most of the Prime games.

Just like the previous games in the series, Metroid Prime 4 will be played in first-person. It will also be the start of a new storyline that aims to tie together and expand on other story elements from the Prime universe.

Nintendo did not announce a release date.
