An anonymous source believes Konami’s prepping a compilation of games in their long-running Castlevania series for the Wii and PSP. This collection is said to include the NES and SNES entries, along with the Playstation’s Symphony of the Night. The source also states that the N64 entries — Castlevania 64 and Legacy of Darkness — and portable Castlevanias will not be included in this collection.

If this rumor is true, it’d be a boon to long-time Castlevania fans. It’d be a shame about the loss of the handheld games, since the GBA/DS titles were really some of the best in the series. It’s not so much of a loss with the N64 games, though. The less remembered about those, the better.
