Spanish newspaper El Mundo featured an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto where it was reported that Nintendo has plans to announce a new Super Mario Bros. at this year’s E3.
According to Eurogamer, the famed game designer was never actually quoted saying such a thing. However, a representative for Nintendo did confirm to the gaming news site that a new Mario game for the Wii U is in the works and that more on the project would be revealed at E3.
“In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Super Mario Bros. game for the Wii U system will be shown at this year’s E3 Expo,” a Nintendo spokesperson said. “We’ll have more to announce about our plans for the E3 Expo at a later date.”
Nintendo did raise some eyebrows when they recently nabbed up the SuperMario4.com domain. Could that be related to this new E3 game?
