Wii Virtual Console Games Can Be Transferred to Wii U
Looks like you’ll be able to play your old Virtual Console games on the Wii U.
Scott Moffitt, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Nintendo, told ABC News that previously bought Virtual Console games will be transferable to the Wii U.
According to Moffitt, there will be some sort of individual account system for the Wii U, where each family member can have a separate account. It’s unclear how Virtual Console download ownership will work with this new system.
Nintendo already offered a similar migration service for moving DSiWare from the DSi to the 3DS, but it wasn’t available at the handheld’s launch. Moffitt didn’t mention whether the Wii U’s migration service would be available at launch or if it would be included in a future update.
