Manufacturing Troubles Reportedly Pushing Back the Wii U European Launch
Sources privy to the Wii U’s production told CVG that problems manufacturing the console’s touchscreen controller may force Nintendo to push the European launch back to December.
According to these sources, Nintendo intends to release the Wii U this November in the U.S., presumably to capitalize on Black Friday and the holiday shopping season.
Nintendo has refused to comment.
The console manufacturer has yet to announce a release date for the new console, but CVG believes that this manufacturing issue has hampered Nintendo’s plans to set a date.
