Wind Waker HD

The online retailer Amazon is already allowing customers to pre-order The Wind Waker HD remake for the Wii U and the new Legend of Zelda, Mario Party and Yoshi’s Island games for the 3DS.

All of the games are dated for December 31, 2013, which are all presumably placeholders until Nintendo announces something more solid.

Amazon UK Gives Nintendo Land Download Codes in Lieu of Missing Premium Bundle Copies

December 03rd, 2012 | Category: Uncategorized

Due to what Amazon.uk attributes to a “supplier error,” a “small number” of people who ordered the 32GB Wii U Premium Pack from them may have received the free copy of Nintendo Land that comes in the bundle.

To make up for the mistake, the online retailer is offering free Nintendo Land eShop download codes to everyone who ordered the bundle, even customers who didn’t have missing copies.

Get Yet Another Chance to Download Dead or Alive Dimensions SpotPass Costumes

August 15th, 2011 | Category: Uncategorized

Team Ninja announced that the SpotPass costumes for Dead or Alive Dimensions are getting another distribution run – likely due to the influx of new 3DS owners from the recent price drop.

Announced on Team Ninja’s facebook page, the first costume giveaway starts today and will continue until September 17. Then, starting September 19, the distribution will start again and go on until October 22.

New costumes go up for download every weekday at 10 a.m.

If you don’t have the game, remember, it’s currently on sale for $28 at Amazon. Despite the negative stigma surrounding the series, it’s actually a really fun and accessible fighter. Definitely worth picking up.

Amazon’s Discounting Portable Games for the Summer

August 15th, 2011 | Category: Uncategorized

A ton of handheld games are on sale over at Amazon as part of their “Summer Road Trip” sale.

While there’s some good stuff on the cheap for the DS and PSP, this sale is really a good opportunity for price-drop 3DS owners to build up their game library. Just look at some of these games:

  • Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition – $29.99
  • BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II – $19.99
  • Dead or Alive Dimensions – $27.99
  • Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Shadow Wars - $28.41

You really can’t go wrong with any of those games… Well, BlazBlue was kind of a sloppy port, but it’s totally worth $20.

Devil Suvivor Overclocked Makes Subsequent Playthroughs Easier with “New Game Plus” Style Rewards

August 12th, 2011 | Category: Uncategorized

One of the new features coming to Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked are “survivor awards.” Similar to the Tales series’ “New Game +” bonuses, survivor awards allow you to change things up for repeat playthroughs.

For example, you could choose to start a new game with all the money you collected or change which demons you’ll encounter.

While these bonuses mean absolutely nothing during your first run through the game, how well you play will effect what survivor awards you’ll be able get when the game ends — after every battle, you are evaluated and given points, which are used to buy different survivor awards.

SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked comes out on August 23. If you don’t have a 3DS, you can always pick up the original Devil Survivor, which is still on sale over at Amazon.
