Devil Survivor DS is $20.99 on Amazon

August 08th, 2011 | Category: Uncategorized

Amazon is giving people a reason to pick up the original DS Devil Survivor by taking 30 percent off the original price.

It’s still a bit of a hard sell given that the enhanced 3DS port Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked is releasing at the end of the month, bringing along a ton of additional features like voice acting and an “8th Day” segment that takes place after the original game’s events.

If you don’t have a 3DS, I highly recommend taking advantage of this deal, as Devil Survivor is one of the best SRPGs to grace the DS.

Amazon.com halted all 3DS shipments heading out from their warehouses due to an problem with their inventory yesterday, but now things appear to have been cleared up and they’re ready to send out some new orders.

While not exactly stating what the problem was, an Amazon rep did dispel the rumors that the problem was due to loose hinge issues or other hardware problems. According to the rep, the reason for the shut-down came from customer-filed notifications.

Today’s Amazon Deal of the Day Is All Atlus

April 18th, 2011 | Category: Uncategorized

Well, not all of Atlus, just some of their more recent games.

On the Nintendo side, you can pick up Radiant Historia, Trauma Team, SMT: Strange Journey and the Naruto Shippuden and 101-in-1 games pretty cheap.

The other games offered in today’s deal are also ones worth grabbing if you haven’t yet, like  Persona 3/3 Portable/4, Odin Sphere and 3D Dot Game Heroes.

Though, I am a little miffed since I bought Radiant Historia off Amazon not too long ago. Great game, by the way. I recommend getting it if you need an RPG to fill up your time.

Pre-Order Ghost Trick on Amazon, Get the Soundtrack Free

January 05th, 2011 | Category: Uncategorized

Ghost Trick is less than a week away from launching in North America, but why not get a little more bank for you buck? Amazon is including vouchers to download the game’s soundtrack if you pre-order the game from them.

… If you’re into “less savory” methods of acquiring things, I guess you could get the soundtrack that way. But if I find out that you also got Ghost Trick that way, I will hunt you down.

The First Ace Attorney Investigations is $10 on Amazon

December 10th, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

As part of their continuing parade of deals leading up to Christmas, Amazon is today cutting prices on games for “kids playtime.”

The big standout among the glut of licensed tie-in software is Capcom’s spin-off of the Ace Attorney series starring Miles Edgeworth going for only $10.

It may not be the best game in the series, but it certainly retains the witty dialog and charming characters that have made the series into the hit it is now. And for only a Hamilton, there’s no reason to not pick it up.

GoldenEye 007 Free With Wii Bundles on Amazon

November 27th, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

We’ve been pimping out Amazon quite a bit recently, but given the Black Friday-time deals, it’s hard not to. You be rest assured knowing that the modicum of poorly thought out gaming news posts will return when the rampant consumerism dies down.

The online mega-retailer’s video game deal of the day is a great starter kit for anyone who doesn’t have a Wii (or maybe just a person who loves buying more than one console. Who’s to say?). For the price of a standard Wii, Amazon is tossing in a free copy of the Gold Classic Controller version of GoldenEye 007.

The deal will only last as long as they have the items in stock, so hurry on over here to secure a bundle.

As the march to Black Friday continues, Amazon is getting a jump on the competition by offering limited-time deals in the days leading up to the busiest shopping day in America.

Starting today and going on for who knows how long, select Wii, 360 and PS3 games at the online mega-retailer will be buy one, get 40% off.

It doesn’t look like the $30 Monster Hunter/Classic Controller Pro bundle from last week is still valid, so you’ll have to find another game to use.

Hurry Up! Monster Hunter Tri Classic Controller Bundle Only $30 on Amazon!

November 12th, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

Amazon had this same Classic Controller/Monster Hunter Tri bundle on sale a few days ago, but it quickly disappeared. However, it appears to be back up again. We don’t know if the deal will go away again, but you’d better hurry if you want to get a copy. Even if you’re not the biggest fan of the Monster Hunter series, like me, it’s hard to pass up a brand new Classic Controller Pro and what is, essentially, a $10 game.
