Club Nintendo members have already begun to receive their Mewtwo DLC codes for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. However, several users are reporting an “irregular save data” bug that stops them from playing online in the Wii U version.
The exact cause is still unclear, but those affected say their Global Smash Power ranking reset to zero upon completing 10-Man Smash with Mewtwo. Afterwards, when trying to go online, they were met with the error message:
“You have been disconnected because of irregular save data.”
Nintendo has not officially commented on the issue. In the meantime, you should avoid playing 10-Man Smash or any of the other mini-game modes with Mewtwo just to be safe.

Why couldn’t we get the Blooper shirt, Nintendo? No comments
The Club Nintendo-exclusive Super Smash Bros. soundtrack isn’t supposed to come out until March, but club members are already starting to receive e-mails letting them know the CDs have shipped.
The two CD set was originally offered late last year to Club Nintendo members that registered both the 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. The registration period for the offer has already passed, so you’re pretty much out of luck if you wanted one.No comments
Club Nintendo is getting bogged down by heavy traffic at the moment, but the next time you’re able to log in, check out your to-do list because Flipnote Studio 3D is now available for members.
If you’re currently not a member, you can still create a new account and get the free game. However, you only have until March 31, which is the deadline for new signups. No comments
With Nintendo’s customer loyalty program Club Nintendo set to shut down later this year, the numerous Coins members have collected over the years will soon be worthless. To help fix this problem, the company recently added a huge selection of physical goods and game downloads to their rewards catalog.
Not only is this the largest number of games offered ever offered by the program, it is also the first time Elite Status exclusives like Doc Louis’ Punch-Out!! and Grill-Off with Ultra Hand! have been made available to regular members.
The word’s apparently already gotten out as the Club Nintendo website is currently bogged down with heavy amounts of traffic.

After six years of offering members game downloads and exclusive rewards, Nintendo announced that they will be discontinuing the Club Nintendo customer loyalty program.
A new loyalty program is in the works, but the company will announce more in the future.
Members will have until June 30 to register games and spend any unused Coins before the program shuts down completely. On July 1, any leftover Coins will be deleted.
As a bit of a farewell gift, members will be able to download Flipnote Studio 3D for free beginning next month. If you don’t already have a Club Nintendo account, you can still create one and be eligible for the free download. However, the deadline to create new accounts is March 31.

- January 20, 2015 – Products released after this date are not eligible for registration with Club Nintendo.
- March 31, 2015 – Last day to earn Coins, register products with Club Nintendo, and sign up for new Club Nintendo membership. Also the last day to reach Gold or Platinum Elite status.
- April 1, 2015 – April 30, 2015 – Period to redeem Elite Status 2015 free game download.
- June 30, 2015 – Last day to redeem Coins or access your account on the Club Nintendo website.

You have until midnight tomorrow to register the 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. to qualify for the Super Smash Bros. soundtrack CD offer.
Don’t forget that you’ll also need to actually order the CD through Club Nintendo before Wednesday, January 14.
If you’ve done all of that, your CD should ship out sometime in March. No comments
More than 680,000 Club Nintendo members voted on their favorite 3DS and Wii U games of 2014 and Nintendo have posted the results online.
As a shock to no one, Super Smash Bros. and Nintendo’s other heavy-hitters dominate both top ten lists, but there are a few welcome surprises like Fantasy Life, Persona Q and indie hits like Shovel Knight and Guacamelee.
It really seems like this would be a perfect setup to discount these games as part of some kind of end-of the year sale in the eShop, but sadly, Nintendo doesn’t appear to want to capitalize on that. What a shame. No comments
