RE Revelations Raid Mode Code Gun

The HD port of Resident Evil Revelations hits North America today and Capcom already has an update out for the game.

The update adds support for www.residentevil.net, which keeps track of your progress in the main campaign and Raid Mode. Additional features include: setting up “buddies” in-game, using accumulated points to buy items that can be transferred over to the game and keeping track of special game-related events.

As a gift for registering with the site, Capcom is giving away a free gun to use in Raid Mode. Once you’re account is set up, you can pick up another Raid Mode gun from Capcom. Just enter the code “parker” on the site. But you should hurry because the code expires tomorrow, May 22 at 10 a.m. PST.

Resident Evil Revelations HD Gets Pirate and Ninja Costumes

May 14th, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

RE Revelations HD Costumes

What kind of Resident Evil game would Revelations be if it didn’t have some irrelevant bonus costumes?

New to the HD remake are a ninja getup for Keith, a pirate outfit for Jill and a sassy sailor suit for Chris. Just look at how sassy that looks. You can tell that sailor’s looking for a good time.

Capcom’s Brett Elston doesn’t want to spoil how to go about unlocking these new costumes, but he did say that they involve playing through the campaign and Raid mode.

Resident Evil Revelations comes out for the Wii U, PC, 360 and PS3 on May 21 across North America.

Resident Evil Revelations HD Gets A New Character, New Enemies and New Wii U Features

March 19th, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

RE Revelations HD Rachel

Rachel, the blind blonde woman sent to investigate the abandoned cruise liner shortly before the events of Resident Evil Revelations, will be playable in the HD port’s Raid Mode. As a bonus treat, PAX attendees will be able to try her out on the show floor this weekend.

Two new enemies will be appearing in Revelations HD: the Wall Blister, who will show up during the main campaign, and a unnamed hulking mutant who will be exclusive to Raid Mode.

The Wii U version of the game will have a couple of interesting new features. First, players will be able to post messages to people online when they die. Capcom intends for it to be used as a way for players to help each other out, but we know it’s just going to be used as another outlet for people to talk about our mothers.

The other new feature is something called “Creature’s Voice,” where players can type out messages that will be said by enemy monsters via speech bubbles.

Resident Evil Revelations releases for the Wii U, 360, PS3 and PC on May 21 in North America and on May 24 in Europe.

Capcom: Resident Evil Revelations 3DS Sales Were “Decent”, Would Have Liked “A Little More”

February 01st, 2013 | Category: Uncategorized

Resident-Evil-Revelations 00

Resident Evil Revelations was one of the earliest high-profile titles to launch on the 3DS, and while it sold well enough for Capcom to consider it a success, the company still would have liked to for it to do better.

“Going by the 3DS market at the time we released the game, it was definitely a success and we’re certainly hoping we can repeat that success with the home console version,” said Revelations producer Masachika Kawata.

“Given the large development costs we had on the 3DS version, we would have liked to have even a little more sales than we did in the end. But that doesn’t mean we saw it as a failure by any means.”

The way Kawata words things makes it sounds like Revelations didn’t quite do well enough to recoup its development costs or didn’t make as much of a profit as Capcom would have hoped. If this is the case, it certainly explains why they want to port Revelations to the Wii U, PC, PS3 and 360.
