This Week in Games: “Creating Rivers in the Desert” Edition

Nintendo gave Ever Oasis a bit of a push during E3, showing off the game during their Treehouse stream and releasing a demo on the 3DS eShop, and now the game is heading to stores this Friday. This will be Grezzo’s first solo developed title since StreetPass Garden.

Also, coming this week is Runbow Pocket Deluxe Edition and the billionth re-release of Cave Story.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia came out last Friday and now the second part of the one-two punch of SRPGs lands this Tuesday when Disgaea 5 Complete launches on the Switch.

Both games are set to monopolize any possible free time you may have, making it harder to fit in sessions for Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers and Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, which also come out this week.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was a strong lead in to May, but the start of the actual month itself leaves a lot to be desired.

In terms of retail, nothing of note is coming out until the second half of the month, when Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Disgaea 5 Complete and Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers all ship.
