Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia comes out tomorrow. The remake of the Famicom’s Fire Emblem Gaiden updates many of the original game’s mechanics while also adding some modern conventions… like DLC.

Also available at launch will be a $44.99 season pass. The five-pack, 22-piece DLC pack is 30 percent cheaper than buying everything individually, but it is also $5 more than the base game.

Though, in fairness, the upcoming DLC will be substantial, featuring exclusive classes, characters and a prologue chapter.

eShop Thursday: “Are You Okay?” Edition

So, the ACA version of Garou: Mark of the Wolves drops onto the Switch this week, bringing with it Terry Bogard’s best voice clip.

Unfortunately, it is likely to get overshadowed by behemoth that is Minecraft, as the Switch edition makes its way to the eShop today.

eShop Thursday: “Legally-Distinct NBA Jam” Edition

NBA Playgrounds comes out this Tuesday. Saber Interactive’s arcade-y two-on-two basketball game definitely draws a lot of inspiration from the classic NBA Jam series, but there’s no telling whether it will play as well.

Other releases of note this week, Bonk’s Revenge is now available on the Wii U Virtual Console and there is a demo for Blaster Master Zero on the Switch and 3DS.

eShop Thursday: “It’s Just Mario Kart 8 with a New (1080p) Hat” Edition

And we all know we’re gonna buy it, too.

Other than Mario Kart, this week’s eShop offerings include Puyo Puyo Tetris and ACA NEOGEO OVER TOP.

There is also Kamiko, a small 2D action game from Skipmore. It’s been getting fairly favorable reviews and it’s only $4.99. So, it may be worth checking out as an impulse buy.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, Lizardcube’s remake of the 1989 Master System’s Wonder Boy III, is out on the Switch this week.

It should be perfectly fine to purchase in the U.S., unlike a certain chocolate treat that was only a choking hazard to dumb people who don’t pay attention to things or notice when something inedible is in their mouth.

Not to be overshadowed by the Switch’s debut, Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns makes its way to the 3DS eShop and the TurboGrafx-16 games Dungeon Explorer and Neutopia drop onto the Wii U Virtual Console this week.
