Greetings from Serene Bay! Your friendly island newbie, Nis, reporting in after a whirlwind first day courtesy of Nook Inc. Let’s just say… it’s been busy!
Stepping off that plane felt like pure potential. First order of business? Picking the perfect spot for my tent (ocean view, obviously!). Next, the indispensable Nook Phone arrived – my lifeline to island life. Immediately, I dove into collecting like a pro:
Fish Section
Cast my flimsy rod into the sparkling sea! (Patience is key…)
Bug Section
Swung my net at anything that fluttered or crawled! (Watch out for wasps!)
Tom Nook wasted no time introducing the Nook Miles program – gotta earn those rewards! Speaking of Nook… yep, the infamous debt for my relocation package looms large. Time to get hustling!
Learning to craft flimsy tools was essential (though they break so easily!). Met my first neighbors: the super energetic jock, Flip, and the cool, superhero-esque Mira! Seems like a friendly bunch so far.
Oh! And Serene Bay’s native fruit? Juicy Peaches! 🍑 Already dreaming of orchards.
The biggest news? After donating my initial finds to Tom Nook, he mentioned an owl curator… Blathers! The request is in – hopefully, the museum will soon have a home here!
It’s basic tent living right now, but Serene Bay already feels special. There’s so much to do, bugs to catch, fish to find, get stung by wasps, and a certain raccoon to repay… Stay tuned for Day 2ish!
