Hey, islanders! Get ready to give your archipelago the crossover of a lifetime. With the massive Animal Crossing: New Horizons Version 3.0.0 update and the upcoming Switch 2 Edition, Nintendo is letting us summon some very special guests by using our existing amiibo collections.

The big news? Scanning specific Zelda and Splatoon amiibo figures and cards will now invite new villagers to your island. From Hyrule to Inkopolis, your dream island is about to get a lot more interesting.

Meet the New Villagers

First, let’s meet the new faces moving in:

• From The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: You can invite the brave Rito, Tulin, or the enigmatic Zonai, Mineru.
• From Splatoon: The stylish Squid Sisters are here! You can call upon Cece (Callie) or Viche (Marie).

The pattern is simple: most amiibo will summon either Tulin or Mineru. Here’s the breakdown:

• Unlocks Tulin:
  • Link (Smash Bros., Twilight Princess, The Legend of Zelda, Skyward Sword, all Breath of the Wild archer/rider variants, Wind Waker Zelda, Daruk, Urbosa, Link’s Awakening, and all Tears of the Kingdom variants except Riju)
