Some games just refuse to give up all their secrets. Three decades after its release, the SNES classic Ken Griffey Jr.’s Winning Run has coughed up a couple more, thanks to the dedication of player TakuikaNinja.

While players have long known they could unlock hidden teams by winning an MLB season, TakuikaNinja has cracked the code for even more secret squads. The method involves a specific button input on the title screen: A, B, X, Y, Up, Down, Select. This unlocks a “Hidden Games” menu option, granting access to teams that have remained off-limits for 30 years.

It’s a fantastic reminder that even in the age of datamining and online guides, physical cartridges can still hold surprises. If you’ve got a dusty SNES or are playing via Nintendo Switch Online, it might be time to fire it up and see what you’ve been missing.
