Okay, horror fans, let’s talk numbers. Capcom’s latest trip into survival-horror territory, Resident Evil Requiem, hasn’t just been a critical hit; it’s been an absolute sales monster.

The company has just announced that the game has sold over 5 million copies globally in less than a week. Yes, you read that right. Since its launch on February 27th for PS5 and Switch 2, Requiem has been flying off digital and physical shelves.

This debut includes the standalone game and those tempting Generation Packs that bundle it with Gold Editions of Resident Evil 7 and Village. It’s a huge win for Capcom and proves that the appetite for well-crafted horror on the Switch 2 is enormous.

This news comes hot on the heels of Requiem absolutely dominating the Japanese charts in its first week, shifting over 155,000 units on PS5 and a very respectable 38,000+ on Switch 2. If you haven’t picked up your copy yet, what are you waiting for? The mansion (or wherever this one is set) isn’t going to explore itself!
