The wait for Cloud Strife’s next chapter on a Nintendo platform is almost over. Following the recent release of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE, Square Enix has confirmed that FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH will launch for the Switch 2 on June 3rd, 2026.

Physical and digital pre-orders are now live, with promotional materials already appearing at retailers. This sequel expands the epic journey beyond the walls of Midgar, letting players explore a vast world on Chocobo-back, engage in new encounters, and continue the hunt for the enigmatic Sephiroth. It’s set to be one of the biggest third-party titles on the system this year.
