Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have officially locked in a release date for Pokémon Champions. The next big multiplayer battler is coming to Nintendo Switch on April 8, 2026. While iOS and Android users will need to wait until later in the year to join the fray, Switch owners can mark their calendars for next month.
In a move that feels increasingly common, the game won’t be getting a native Switch 2 version. However, a free update will be available for those playing on the newer hardware, specifically boosting the visuals to take advantage of the console’s power. Consider it a nice little bonus for early adopters who want to see those battle animations pop.
