Hamster keeps doing what Hamster does, and this week that means a deep cut: ISHIN NO ARASHI, a historical strategy game from KOEI, has arrived on Nintendo Switch 2 via the Console Archives series.
The game originally came out in 1990 on an 8-bit home console — so we're talking over 35 years of history here. It's set during Japan's Bakumatsu period (the late Edo era, for anyone who's rusty on their Japanese history), which was a turbulent time of political upheaval and samurai doing samurai things. KOEI made a name for themselves with these dense historical strategy games, so if you're a fan of that style, this is worth a look.

Console Archives has been a quietly excellent way to dig into older Japanese games that many Western players never got to experience, and ISHIN NO ARASHI is exactly the kind of niche pick that makes the series worthwhile.
No price was listed in the announcement, but Hamster's Console Archives titles typically land at around $6.99–$7.99.
