Today's Switch release might not be splashed across the front page of every gaming site, but for a particular stripe of retro RPG fan, it's worth knowing about. Traysia — a 1992 SEGA Genesis RPG that largely passed most people by at the time — is now available on Nintendo Switch, courtesy of Ratalaika Games.
The premise is wonderfully old-school: you follow Roy, a young man on a quest for love and adventure. That's pretty much it. The game was originally developed by Wolf Team (later to become Tales studio tri-Crescendo adjacent folks) and has long had a cult following among SEGA diehards.

Ratalaika has done the sensible thing and bundled in a solid set of modern features — save states, a rewind function, turbo mode, screen filters, a gallery, cheats, and even a jukebox for the soundtrack. It's the kind of treatment that actually makes revisiting a 30-year-old RPG feel reasonable rather than masochistic.
It'll never be mistaken for a blockbuster release, but if you're the sort of person who enjoys digging through gaming history's more obscure corners, Traysia on Switch is worth a look.
