Overwatch finally made its way to Switch 2 on April 14th, bringing Blizzard's fast-paced multiplayer action to Nintendo's new hardware. The good news? Docked mode runs smooth as butter at up to 60 frames per second with improved visuals and higher quality audio. The not-so-good news? Handheld mode is struggling a bit with frame rates.
Blizzard's already acknowledged the performance dip in handheld and says they're working on a patch to bring things up to speed. The timing coincides with Season 2's launch, which adds new character Sierra, a combat-focused DPS hero with a rifle and combat drone named Dorothy. There's also a fresh Sakura Collection and a collab with K-pop group LE SSERAFIM if you're into that sort of cosmetic stuff.
It's a solid port overall—Overwatch on the go is something Switch players have wanted for ages. Hopefully that patch fixes the handheld wobbles quick enough.
